Adventures in 360 video

360 video (or VR when viewed in a headset) is still pretty gimicky, but fun to shoot! Here’s a little mini-doc I made… Make sure you scroll around to see everything

The Six

So life has changed – I’ve moved to Toronto and I’m making awesome videos for a bunch of magazines here now! Bit of a switch, but I’m loving how multimedia is taking off right now. Who knows where it (or I) will go in the next few years… Anyways, here are a few pictures from along the way. In black and white.

Lighting

This could have just been your average business portrait shoot… But now and again I have to get out all of my lights and go a bit wild! A parking garage + my camera + this guy + lots of lights = this

Meet Jerry! He’s a lover of music, vinyl, posters, and musical paraphernalia, and owner of this wonderfully quirky store.

Portrait Study – Nakoda Dancer

I recently had the opportunity to work with an awesome program called ReFreshed to make a music video – in the program, they use hip-hop, spoken word, breakdance, graffiti, and deejaying to bring at-risk youth together and let them tell their stories.  The mix of traditional and modern song and dance really intrigued me, and I took this girl aside for a few portraits before continuing with filming.
